National Jewish Assembly disappointed by cancellation of Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli’s visit to the UK

The National Jewish Assembly expresses regret that the planned visit of Israel’s diaspora minister Amichai Chikli to the UK this week has been cancelled due to political issues at home.

The NJA understands the necessity of the Israeli government to prioritize Israel’s domestic interests during such challenging times.

The NJA hopes that the postponement of the visit will not be for long, and that the eventual visit will facilitate fruitful discussions concerning diaspora affairs.

Last week, the visit of foreign minister Eli Cohen to the UK went ahead without any issues. The National Jewish Assembly continues to support positive relations between the UK and Israel and will continue to work towards strengthening ties between the two countries.
