He is the founder of the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values (JILV) and the author of ‘Woke Antisemitism: How a Progressive Ideology Harms Jews’. David is a prolific speaker, podcaster and writer, having written hundreds of opinion pieces in the Jewish and general press.

Join the NJA where David will discuss the link between radical social justice ideology and the promotion of both antisemitism and anti-Zionism, explaining how extreme beliefs within the ideology can contribute to negative attitudes towards Jewish communities and the state of Israel.

Fleur grew up in Gibraltar and studied law at Kings College, London University. She qualified as a barrister in Middle Temple in 1997 and practiced in London before immigrating to Israel in 2001. In May 2016 Fleur became a City Councilor in Jerusalem and in February 2017 the leader of the Opposition. In November 2018 Fleur was re-elected to the Jerusalem Municipal Council and was appointed Deputy Mayor for foreign relations economic development and tourism. Fleur is currently the only British politician in Israel and is involved in the advancement of women's rights and marginalized populations groups in the city, in economic development and the fight for a pluralistic Jerusalem. Fleur is also the Co-Founder of the UAE-Israel Business Council.

  • 8.45pm - Efrat Perri, Director of Public Diplomacy at the Israeli Embassy in the UK, will discuss current affairs in Israel and the Israel-UK relationship

Each guest will speak for approximately 20 minutes followed by a Q & A session. As this event is on Zoom, you are welcome to attend for all or part of the event.
