The NJA is proud to be a signatory to a letter sent by CAMERA UK (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis) detailing comprehensive suggestions for the National Union of Students (NUS) UK Action Plan.
After a thorough investigation into Antisemitism in the NUS concluded that the peak student body has had a systemic history of antisemitism for several decades, the NUS released an ‘Action Plan’ for how they wish to proceed in dealing with this institutionalised antisemitism and prejudice against Jewish students.
CAMERA UK has provided informative suggestions for NUS to consider when developing their Action Plan, which can be found here.
As a signatory, the NJA endorses CAMERA UK’s recommendations and hopes that the NUS’ will take concrete steps to protect Jewish students and resolve its flagrant history of discrimination against one of the UK’s minority populations by implementing these suggestions.
