As we reflect on the challenges of this past year in the wake of October 7, it’s undeniable that both Israel and British Jewry have faced a difficult period. Unbridled antisemitism has broken into full view, particularly in the UK, where Islamists and their enablers have championed an openly hostile climate against our community. This growing animosity has only reinforced the necessity of our mission at the National Jewish Assembly – to safeguard the political security of the British Jewish community.
At the NJA, we have a robust team dedicated to this vital work. We have expanded our operations and strengthened our advocacy, ensuring we are at the forefront of combating antisemitism, defending Israel, and promoting Jewish life in the UK. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support we have received from our fellow community members and beyond, and it is heartening to see many partners, allies, and friends standing with us.
With Rosh Hashanah upon us, we look forward to the exciting program we have planned for the months ahead. Our line-up of events, missions, and advocacy efforts promises to redouble our commitment to our community and deepen our impact. Together, we will rise to the challenges, ensuring that our voice is heard and our rights are protected in the UK and around the world.
Wishing you all a Shanah Tovah – may it be a year of strength, progress, and unity.
Gary Mond, Chairman of the NJA
