The National Jewish Assembly (NJA) utterly condemns the disgraceful attack yesterday morning by Palestinian terrorists on Israel, which saw thousands of rockets launched into Israel and the indiscriminate murder and kidnappings of Israeli civilians by infiltrators who crossed into Israel from Gaza.
The NJA hopes and prays for the wellbeing of all Israeli citizens at this immensely difficult time, wishes the Israeli government all strength and good fortune in its forthcoming decisions as to how best to prosecute what is undoubtedly a major war, coming as it does 50 years after the Yom Kippur War.
Furthermore, the NJA will vigorously oppose any calls from other organisations, be they Jewish or otherwise, for restraint in Israel’s likely retaliation. It will support whatever steps the Israeli government decides to undertake which it believes will be in the best interests of all Israelis.”
Gary Mond, NJA Chairman, added: “Now more than ever, Israel needs strong support from the Jewish diaspora and other friends around the world. I sincerely hope that Jewish communities do not let Israel down. Am Yisrael Chai.
