National Jewish Assembly Denounces Biased UN Human Rights Council Report

The National Jewish Assembly (NJA) strongly condemns the recently released report by the United Nations Human Rights Council, which is riddled with anti-Israel bias and a complete disregard for objective analysis. The report’s one-sided focus on Israel and its failure to hold accountable those responsible for human rights abuses among the Palestinians is deeply troubling.

The NJA is deeply concerned by the report’s glaring omissions and distortions. It ignores the role of Palestinian leadership in perpetuating the conflict and fails to acknowledge their responsibility for human rights violations against both Israelis and Palestinians. By absolving Palestinian terrorism of any culpability and challenging Israel’s efforts to combat terrorism, the report effectively defends and excuses these acts of violence.

NJA Chairman Gary Mond commented, “A report of this nature removes any semblance of impartiality from the UN as an institution and destroys its credibility. The general obsession with Israel, while ignoring so many oppressive regimes around the world, must be stopped.”

Furthermore, the report selectively targets the incumbent Israeli government, launching a politically motivated rebuke without any semblance of criticism towards the failed and corrupt Palestinian leadership. This biased approach undermines the report’s credibility and reveals its inherent agenda.

The NJA also takes issue with the report’s unfounded and unsubstantiated claims of “war crimes” attributed to Israel. Such assertions lack a proper evidentiary basis and are a disservice to the pursuit of truth and justice.

The NJA reiterates its call for fairness, objectivity, and impartiality in all investigations and reports related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It is essential that the United Nations Human Rights Council uphold its mandate to address human rights violations wherever they occur, without prejudice or bias.

The NJA remains committed to promoting dialogue, combating antisemitism, and advocating for the rights and security of the Jewish community. It calls upon the international community to reject biased reports that perpetuate an unbalanced narrative and work towards fostering an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
