NJA Commends March Against Antisemitism, Demands Action Against Pro-Palestine Hate Rallies

The National Jewish Assembly (NJA) proudly stood alongside over 30,000 participants in London on Sunday to march against the alarming rise in antisemitism sweeping the UK. Braving the wind and rain of Storm Darragh, a diverse cross-communal crowd of Jews and allies from Hindu, Sikh, Christian, and other communities united to declare: “Stop the hate before it’s too late.”

The NJA was well-represented with a large contingent of its members participating in the march, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to confronting the surge in antisemitism emboldened by pro-Palestine rallies. Gary Mond, NJA Chairman, said: “This march is a powerful reminder that the Jewish community is not alone in this fight. However, rallies like these must serve as a wake-up call for the government to take meaningful action. We cannot continue to witness weekly displays of pro-terrorism sympathies without consequences.”

The march’s speakers delivered impassioned messages highlighting the urgent need to address antisemitism as not merely a Jewish issue, but a threat to the fabric of British society. Hayley Ace of Christian Action Against Antisemitism warned: “The ideology targeting Jews today will target others tomorrow. Britain’s government must act decisively to stop this hate.”

While the march sent a strong message of resilience and solidarity, the NJA demands that the UK government go further. Weekly pro-Palestine marches have unleashed a torrent of hate, from open support for Hamas to calls for violence against Jews. This cannot be allowed to continue. The government must enact an immediate ban on such hate rallies and use every mechanism at its disposal to curtail the spread of Islamist terrorist sympathies in the UK.

Mond added: “Antisemitism is not just a stain on our community but on the very values that define Britain. The government’s inaction enables hatred to thrive, emboldening those who seek to destroy the freedoms we hold dear. Enough is enough.”

The NJA thanks its members and supporters for their solidarity and calls on Britain to turn words into action before the hate becomes irreversible. It’s time for the government to protect British Jews and stand unequivocally against extremism.
