NJA Welcomes the 7 October All-Party Parliamentary Group Report as a Crucial Record of Hamas’ Atrocities

The National Jewish Assembly (NJA) welcomes the publication of “The 7 October Parliamentary Commission Report” by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for UK-Israel, chaired by Lord Roberts of Belgravia. This comprehensive report provides a harrowing yet essential record of the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, ensuring that the truth is documented and safeguarded against denial, distortion, and historical revisionism.

The report lays bare the premeditated and systematic nature of Hamas’ barbarism. It details the mass slaughter of Israeli civilians, the use of sexual violence as a tool of terror, the calculated execution of entire families, and the kidnapping of innocent men, women, and children. These were not isolated incidents of violence but a coordinated genocidal attack, resulting in the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. The report also underscores Hamas’ military infrastructure, its long-term strategic planning, and its ideological commitment to the destruction of Israel.

Beyond documenting the atrocities themselves, the report highlights the disturbing response from some elements within British society. Despite overwhelming evidence, sections of the political left, mainstream media, and activist circles have engaged in moral equivocation, downplaying or even justifying Hamas’ crimes. The findings expose the extent to which Hamas’ propaganda has been laundered through British institutions, emboldening those who seek to delegitimise Israel’s right to self-defence.

NJA Chairman Gary Mond stated: “This report is a critical resource in the battle against historical revisionism. The events of October 7 were not just a terrorist attack; they were an act of genocidal barbarism aimed at the destruction of the Jewish people. Yet, within hours, attempts were made to justify or deny these horrors. The NJA commends this report for setting the historical record straight, ensuring that the victims are not forgotten, and that those responsible are held to account.”

The NJA urges all policymakers, journalists, and members of the public to engage with this report, ensuring that its findings inform discussions about national security, antisemitism, and the broader fight against extremism. The events of October 7 must never be allowed to fade into obscurity, and the world must remain vigilant against those who would seek to repeat history.
